This study examines how experiential learning can serve as an instrumental approach to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within Italian higher education institutions. Drawing on theoretical insights about EDI and experiential learning, it explores participatory methodologies, service learning, internships, and collaborative cross-cultural projects as tools to address systemic inequalities and foster inclusive education. The analysis focuses on the unique Italian context, marked by regional disparities, migration challenges, and underrepresentation of marginalized groups, using case studies to highlight best practices that enhance intercultural competence, social responsibility, and educational access. Employing a comparative case study methodology, the research integrates qualitative and quantitative methods, analyzing institutional policies and conducting interviews to capture diverse perspectives. While limited by the scope of case study selection, the study underscores the importance of faculty training, inclusive curricula, and supportive institutional policies to maximize the impact of experiential learning on EDI outcomes, ultimately offering actionable recommendations to create more equitable academic environments.
