Conflict Decoded: Play, Reflect, Resolve
Room 3
Workshop
Physical
17:30
19 March 2025
The session focuses on improving participants’ conflict resolution skills through a series of interactive activities and reflections. The icebreaker “Leader of the Band” enhances observation, critical thinking, and empathy by encouraging participants to identify a leader through group movement patterns. The “Going to the Balcony” mindfulness activity helps participants step back and observe conflict objectively, fostering emotional awareness and effective communication. The main activity, “Wolf,” uses a role-playing card game to develop empathy, active listening, and assertive communication. Roles like Kid, Wolf, Shepherd, and Veterinary encourage strategic thinking and collaboration to resolve conflicts. The cool-down activity prompts self-reflection by relating personal conflict roles to the game, while the debriefing exercise “My Final Card” enables participants to choose a role that resonates with their conflict resolution style, identify areas for improvement, and set personal goals. Through these exercises, participants gain skills in observation, empathy, mindfulness, and constructive communication.
